Are you ready for some time away from the office, from the laundry and dishes, or from the daily grind? Can you live without the amenities of home–like running water- to spend time in the wilderness?  Are you able to hike 3 miles with 30lbs on your back? 

Then, join Father Nathan Cromly and other women who are up for this adventure. We will be guided by COR Expeditions on this 3-day journey (Monday and Friday are travel days)  as you challenge yourself physically and mentally and discover your strength and desire to live life as God wants you to live.  We’ll travel to Monarch Pass on the Sawatch Range and hike up to our hut, where we will bunk for 3 nights with a roof over our heads but no other amenities like electricity or running water (we do have an outhouse though!).  

COR Expeditions will provide travel from SJI to the beginning of the hiking trail and from the end of the hiking trail back to SJI. All participants, SJI, and COR Expeditions staff will leave from SJI campus together.

Part of the cost of this event is used to support the Saint John Institute. You can join in one lump payment or contact  [email protected] to pay this on a monthly basis. If you are already a Silver Member of the Leadership Network, this event is one of the benefits included in your membership.  If you are not already a member, the registration fee for this retreat will automatically enroll you in the Leadership Network. 

Transportation: 

• Please do not purchase your flights until we are 30 days out from the hike. Thank you!
• SJI shuttles will be provided from the Denver International Airport, Margaret Pluta will be in touch with more details about the shuttle as we get closer to July.
• Fatima House: Attendees are welcome to arrive a day early or depart a day late. Rooms in the Fatima House on SJI’s campus are available. Please reach out to Margaret Pluta to reserve a room. [email protected]

Cancellation Policy

• If we are required to cancel this event due to the Covid-19 pandemic or other unforeseen circumstances, we will offer you a full refund. We regret, however, that we will not be able to reimburse you for a flight if you have already purchased one. We will do our best to let you know as early as possible.
• If you have to cancel, we will offer a 100% refund until two weeks out from the retreat, and a 50% refund if you cancel within two weeks of the event. We will not be able to issue a refund if you cancel less than 48 hours from the start of the event.
